Managed File Transfer Context Sensitive Help Topics

The following file documents the following technology area: Oracle Managed File Transfer.

MFT Configuration Wizard - MFT Adapter Service/Reference

Use to create an Oracle Managed File Transfer (MFT) binding component for message delivery.

Binding components such as MFT services or references make service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications accessible to the outside world. More

For an inbound MFT service, this is the only page of the MFT Configuration Wizard. Other pages of the wizard are relevant only to an outbound MFT reference.

Element Description

Name

Enter a name or accept the default name of mftServicenumber or mftReferencenumber. This becomes the name for this service or reference in the SOA Composite Editor.

Service or Reference

Select the direction in which you want the MFT service to operate.

  • Service: Creates an inbound MFT service in the Exposed Services (left) swimlane that provides the outside world with an entry point to the SOA composite application. This direction is selected by default if you dropped the MFT service into the Exposed Services swimlane. More This corresponds to an MFT target of type SOA.

  • Reference: Creates an outbound MFT service in the External References (right) swimlane that enables messages to be sent from the SOA composite application to external partners in the outside world. This direction is selected by default if you dropped the MFT service into the External References swimlane. More This corresponds to an MFT source of type SOA.

MFT Configuration Wizard - Adapter Interface

Use to create an Oracle Managed File Transfer (MFT) binding component for message delivery.

Binding components such as MFT services or references make service-oriented architecture (SOA) applications accessible to the outside world. More

This page of the MFT Configuration Wizard is relevant only to an outbound MFT reference. It is not displayed for an inbound MFT service.

Element Description

Interface

Select the interface for the MFT reference.

  • Define using a new MFT Reference: Creates an interface for the MFT reference using the default MFT WSDL file.

  • Define from existing concrete WSDL: Creates interface for the MFT reference using a WSDL file you select.

The default MFT WSDL file is located at WLS_Home/mft/integration/wsdl/MFTSOAService.wsdl.

WSDL URL

Select the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file to use. This file describes the capabilities of the reference point from a SOA composite application. A reference is defined by a port type.

Note: Do not manually update the WSDL location in your file in Source View. This action is not supported. Only updates made in Design View are supported.

Find existing WSDLs icon

Click to select an existing WSDL file.

Port Type

Select the port type or use the automatically specified value.

Operation

Select the operation.

Copy wsdl and its dependent artifacts into the project

Select this checkbox to copy a remote WSDL and its dependent artifacts into the project.

Note: Oracle recommends that you select this checkbox only for situations such as offline designing. This is because maintaining a copy of a remote WSDL may result in synchronization issues if the remote WSDL is updated.
